Cold Papaya Soup

1 medium papaya, peeled, seeded, and cubed
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Chablis or other dry white wine


Place papaya in a small mixing bowl; pour lime juice over papaya, and toss gently. Set mixture aside.

Combine sugar and wine in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, and remove from heat. Pour over papaya mixture, and stir gently. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Serve soup in chilled dessert bowls.
