Chocolate Frosting

2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 tablespoons hot water
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt


Place chocolate and butter in top of a double boiler; place over boiling water and cook, stirring constantly, until chocolate and butter melt.

Remove from heat; add sugar and hot water, beating until smooth. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and salt; beat until frosting reaches spreading consistency.
