Caramelized Bananas

4 medium-size bananas
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine


Cut bananas diagonally into 1/3-inch-thick slices.

Cook brown sugar and butter over high heat in a small skillet, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in banana. Cool.
