You can lighten this recipe by using nonfat buttermilk and light mayonnaise.

3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon minced green onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
