Buttered Parsnips With Parsley

2 pounds parsnips, scraped and shredded
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley


Place parsnips, water, butter, sugar, and salt in a small Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Toss with parsley before serving.
