Simple embellishments make Browned Butter Haricots Verts a stand-out side dish.

2 (8-ounce) packages microwave-in-a-bag fresh haricots verts
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons sliced almonds
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Cook haricots verts according to package directions. Combine butter and almonds in a large skillet over medium heat; cook 3 minutes or until butter is lightly browned and almonds are lightly toasted. Add haricots verts to pan; toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
