Brown Rice

2 cups uncooked brown rice
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened


Combine water, rice, and salt in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 50 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Stir butter into rice.
