Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
Pinch of salt
2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 quarts milk, scalded

Preparation

Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt in a medium saucepan; stir well. Gradually add water, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil; boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in hot milk; beat 2 minutes with a wire whisk. Serve hot.
