Bran Muffins

1 cup wheat bran cereal
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted


Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl, stirring well. Make a well in center of mixture. Add eggs, milk, and butter; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon mixture into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 450° for 12 minutes.
