Bourbon Sauce

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 cup whipping cream


Brown butter in a cast - iron skillet over medium heat; stir in brown sugar and salt, using a wooden spoon. Cook mixture over low heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves. Add bourbon and whipping cream, stirring well. Continue cooking until sauce thickens. Serve sauce warm over pudding.
