"Blueberries are one of the best ingredients of the season; they're beautiful and they taste like summer. The light fruit pops are also the perfect combo with the rich cake."
Makes 6 pops
1. Combine sugar and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, and let cool completely.
2. Puree berries and sugar syrup in a food processor or blender until smooth. (Pour mixture through a wire-mesh strainer to remove any solids, if desired.)
3. Pour blueberry mixture into freezer-pop molds; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions, inserting craft sticks halfway through freezing time. Freeze completely.
