Beef Hash With Indian Griddle Cakes

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of red pepper
4 cups cooked, chopped roast beef


Melt butter in a large, heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add beef broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly. Add next 5 ingredients, mixing well. Serve hot over Indian Griddle Cakes.
