Asparagus Sauté

2 pounds fresh asparagus
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 large red bell pepper, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper


Snap off tough ends of asparagus.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus and remaining ingredients, and saute 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Serve immediately.
