14 to 16 slices bacon, halved crosswise
2 (12-ounce) containers fresh Select oysters, drained
2 cups yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
Vegetable oil


Wrap a bacon half around each oyster; secure with a wooden pick through oyster.

Combine cornmeal, salt, and pepper; dredge oysters in meal mixture. Combine milk and eggs; beat well. Dip oysters into milk mixture; dredge again in meal mixture. Deep fry in hot oil (375°) until golden brown; drain on paper towels. Serve warm with Seafood Sauce.
