Amaretto French Toast

Prep: 3 minutes; Cook: 9 minutes. Place French toast in a preheated 200° oven to keep warm while the second batch cooks or until ready to serve.
2 servings (serving size: 2 slices french toast and 2 tablespoons syrup)

2 large egg whites
1 large egg
1/2 cup fat-free amaretto-flavored coffee creamer (such as International Delight)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 slices sweet buttermilk bread (such as Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse)
Cooking spray
1/4 cup reduced-calorie maple syrup


Combine first 4 ingredients with a wire whisk in a shallow dish.

Dredge 2 slices of bread in egg mixture, letting slices soak 15 to 20 seconds on each side.

Heat a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat. Place dredged bread slices in pan; cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Repeat with remaining bread slices. Serve with maple syrup.
