To froth milk for one cup of coffee, pour milk into a microwave-safe cup or mug, and microwave at HIGH heat for about 20 seconds or until steam begins to rise on the surface of the milk. Microwave cooking times may vary, but the idea is to cook the milk to the point just before boiling.

Remove the cup from the microwave and place a battery-operated wire whisk in the center of the cup.

Activate the whisking and continue until you get the desired amount of froth. Then add freshly brewed coffee directly to the cup and serve.

To froth milk in a measuring cup or small pitcher, pour milk into a cup or container that is microwave-safe, and microwave at HIGH heat for 30 seconds to 1-1/2 minutes or until steam begins to rise on the surface of the milk. Again microwave cooking times vary; the idea is to cook the milk to the point just before boiling.

Remove the measuring cup from the microwave and place a battery-operated thin wire whisk in the milk in the center of the cup.

Activate the whisking until you get the desired amount of froth, then gently spoon the frothed milk on top of the poured coffee.
