Pan-frying bacon is the standard, but it has its drawbacks. Only a few strips fit in a pan, too many strips will cook unevenly, you have to flip them often, and the bacon can shrink quite a bit. Try baking your bacon instead. Line a jelly-roll pan with foil and place a wire rack on it so the bacon won't sit in fat. Also this will help the heat circulate around the bacon. Place bacon slices in a single layer on the rack and bake on 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
