Simple Weeknight Pasta

If you're like me, you usually have a couple nights during the week that are super busy and don't leave you much time to think about dinner. Whether you're taking your kids to practice, have a work event, or are hitting up the gym, sometimes you just need a list with a few quick meals you can turn to. Today, I've got a new recipe you can add to that list!

Fresh Tomato, Sausage, and Pecorino Pasta from Cooking Light is exactly what you need on a jammed-packed weeknight for a couple different reasons. It doesn't take long to cook. Cook the pasta according to instructions on the package, and while it's boiling away, you can cook the sausage. Once both are ready, you just toss them together.

This recipe is from Cooking Light, so you know it's going to be a little better for you than the alternatives. Aside from the noodles and sausage, you'll need chopped tomatoes, onions, and garlic to form a little sauce. You can use fresh tomatoes here if you have them, but canned tomatoes will work too if you're in a pinch. Pecorino is a type of cheese that is similar to Parmesan, which you can always use if you don't have that either. Then finish off this simple dish with a sprinkle of basil!
