I've eaten many a bowl of shrimp and grits in my life. I even had a shrimp and grits bar at my wedding, where guests could choose from all sorts of toppings, including andouille sausage, succotash, and fresh tomatoes. It's a great dish to make when you're having company over for brunch, or for a simple, comforting dinner at home.

Rich, cheesy grits are always the base for good shrimp and grits, and the best recipes usually include some type of pork (we're looking at you, bacon). Lucky for you, this easy shrimp and grits recipe from Southern Living has both cheese grits AND bacon, and it's on the table in just 20 minutes.
