Pimm's Cup

We made it. It's Friday. Time to unwind with family and friends, catch up on some reading, and spend time outside. Time to go to brunch or the bar and spend a little too much money on indulgent food and drinks. I don't drink often, but I love a good craft cocktail or glass of wine on occasion. I especially love drinks with cucumber and herbs! One of the signature cocktails at my wedding was a vodka tonic with cukes and herbs: Simple, refreshing, and just sweet enough.

A Pimm's Cup is a thirst-quenching, supremely summery drink (in England, it's a must at cricket matches) that mixes lemony soda, fruit, cucumbers, mint, and a fortifying shot of gin. Pimm's No. 1, a gin-based drink, was invented in 1823 by James Pimm, who served it at his oyster bar in London. Try making your own this weekend; it's easy!
