How to Make a Baked Spaghetti Sandwich

I’ll admit that a Baked Spaghetti Sandwich sounds a little crazy, and very messy, but this is a recipe you need to try. This super sandwich combines a classic Italian dinner of Caesar salad, spaghetti, and bread into one tasty sandwich. So, if you like all three of those, what’s not to love about this sandwich?

The recipe calls for the following ingredients: onion rolls, softened butter, minced garlic, spaghetti, vegetable oil, chopped onion, Italian seasoning, a jar of marinara sauce, Romano, eggs, romaine lettuce, Parmesan, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and Caesar salad dressing.

First, you’ll need to cook the pasta. If you’re not confident in your pasta-cooking skills, check out our How to Cook Pasta video for a quick refresher. To make the spaghetti sauce, combine onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, marinara sauce, and a dash of salt and pepper in a skillet over medium heat. Next, mix sauce, Romano, and chopped pasta together and let it chill in the refrigerator. After about 8 minutes, stir the remaining cheese into the pasta mixture and begin forming the spaghetti patties with a 4-inch biscuit cutter. Brush each patty with beaten eggs before baking them for about 20 minutes. While the patties bake, toss the Caesar salad together and toast the onion rolls. To finish, simply top each onion roll with a baked spaghetti patty, Caesar salad, and a pinch of red pepper flakes! Buon Appetito!
