Homemade Whipped Cream

Classic Whipped Cream

Have you tried homemade whipped cream yet? Sure, the store-bought stuff is convenient every once in awhile, but the real deal is well worth the extra steps. Once you try the homemade version, the can just won't do it for you anymore. Guaranteed.

Here's a super-simple recipe for Classic Whipped Cream that requires just two ingredients. Yep, you heard it right!

1 cup heavy cream

2 teaspoons sugar or agave nectar

Add cream to a chilled stainless steel bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat on high just until soft peaks form. Add sugar and gently combine, making sure not to over-whip. Use right away.

Pro tip: You can also use a teaspoon of vanilla for extra flavor. Add it when you combine the sugar and cream.
