Here at MyRecipes, we really love ice cream. Not only because the icy treat is a classic summer staple, but because pretty much any flavor you could ever think of exists. Even as summer is drawing to a close, we wanted to take the time to highlight another decadent ice cream variation that brings a little bit of a twist. Are you thinking what we're thinking? Yep, gelato! If you're wondering how gelato is different from ice cream, you'll be pleased to know that the differences are subtle, but still noticeable. Gelato is a creamier, denser version of ice cream, with less air infused in the churning process and made with milk instead of cream. These unique features give this frozen treat a much more luxurious and thick texture that's fun to try with whatever different fruits, flavors, and combos that you like the most. To help you out, we've rounded up our favorite gelato recipes right here today to showcase this delicious dessert. Even though the weather might be beginning to cool down some for most of the country, it's still hot somewhere, right? Enjoy!
