Fresh cranberries are in season only from October to December, but don't despair. They freeze beautifully! Cranberries keep well in the refrigerator for about a month, and can be frozen for about 9 months. (Just long enough for the next crop to come out)

Don't wash cranberries before you freeze them, and don't bother thawing them when they're going in baked goods--you can use them straight out of the freezer. This superfood is as convenient as it is good for you!
