There's always a reason for giving, and the best gifts come from the heart or, in our case...the kitchen! For your next gift-giving
occasion, try these recipes from Gooseberry Patch All Through the Seasons.
Ginger and Spice and Everything Nice Muffin Mix
Gift the gift of muffins this season with a package of spiced ginger muffin mix. Just combine all of the dry ingredients and
place in an airtight container. Make a festive tag with the recipe instructions and attach to the container. The recipient
will only need to add butter, an egg and milk and bake.
Making baked goods for frieinds and family is easy when you start with a packaged brownie mix and stir in chocolate chips,
marshmallows, and peanuts. You might need to make an extra batch so you'll have enough to wrap up for gifts.
Nothing dresses up a homemade food gift like adding a snazzy bowtie. Send guests home with a little something sweet to put
under their pillows--brownie ingredients layered in a jar. Print the instructions on a cute card and attach it to the jar.
Use a paint pen to draw "peppermint" swirls or a name and dots on a plain mug...add stripes around the handle if you wish.
Fill the mug with goodies or treats and you have the perfect gift for your favorite snacker!
For a quick and tasty treat, try adding a little extra flavor to your favorite packaged cocoa...cinnamon, chocolate syrup,
or sweetened condensed milk. Adults will love a splash of amaretto or butterscotch schnapps, and whipped cream with sprinkles
will bring out the kid in anyone.
