From Gluten Free Birmingham

This is one of my kids' favorite lunches. It is so quick and easy, and they love it! One of the great things about this lunch is that you can also very easily make it gluten free if needed. My daughter has Celiac's Disease, so this one is gluten free. My kids love to help me make these and they help to design their own. They pick their own toppings, according to what they like. One likes just cheese, one likes lots of green olives, and one likes meat. The sky is the limit on toppings!

Quick Pizza Slice

  • Bread slices or gluten-free bread slices
  • Pizza sauce or marinara
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings

Arrange your bread on a cookie sheet. Place in the oven on 400 degrees for about 10 min. Keep a close eye on it so it doesn’t get too dark. The idea is to get it toasted so the bread doesn’t become soggy. Once toasted good, remove from oven.

Top with marinara sauce and your favorite toppings bake in the oven on 400 until cheese is melted.

When it looks like this…remove from oven. Place on a plate and enjoy! I think my kids, who are 7,7, and 9 ate about 3 pieces each! Definitely a keeper!
