Last week I traveled to Perdido Key, Florida for our annual Longshore family vacation. Because Perdido Key is located in between Pensacola and Gulf Shores, I decided to whip up a Pensacola original, The Bushwacker. This famous drink was first sold in 1975 at The Sandshaker in Pensacola Beach and has been a local favorite that has spread throughout the South. The glorious chocolaty, boozy milkshake is featured at the famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Package Deck Oyster Bar on the Gulf, located on the Florida-Alabama border. This drink is fabulous on the beach, by the pool, or really anywhere you want!

Homemade Bushwacker:

Directions:

Blend the first five ingredients together, then add the ice and ice cream and blend until you reach desired texture. Enjoy!
